No selling, ever
We don't sell your data. No ads. No tracking pixels.
Cycle-scoped
Only people in your cycles can see you. Strangers see nothing.
You're in control
Export, edit, or delete anything — anytime.
What We Collect
When you sign up:
- Your name and email (required for sign-in)
- Your phone number (optional, for WhatsApp coordination)
- Your country (used to show relevant payment methods)
- Your payment handles (InstaPay, Venmo, etc. — optional, only if you want others to be able to pay you back)
When you use the app:
- Cycles you create or join
- Restaurants and menu items you add
- Orders you place and ratings you leave
- Payments you record
Who Sees What
The most important rule: information is only shared with people who share a “cycle” with you. A cycle is a private group (your work team, your friend group, your family).
Strangers
See nothing. Not your name, not your email, not your existence.
Cycle members
See your name, avatar, email, and (optionally) phone. Payment handles only when you owe them.
Cycle admins
Same as members, plus the ability to manage menu items and restaurants in that cycle.
Teameats team
Can technically access data for support and abuse prevention. We don't browse or share it.
You can disable phone visibility and payment handle visibility in Settings → Privacy.
What We Don't Do
- We never sell your data.
- We don’t share data with advertisers.
- We don’t use third-party analytics that track you across the web.
- We don’t have ads.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Your account stays until you delete it.
- Cycles, batches, and orders stay as long as the cycle exists.
- When you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days. Some operational logs may persist up to 90 days for abuse prevention.
Your Rights
You can:
- View all your data in Settings
- Edit or remove most data directly from the app
- Delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Delete)
- Export your data (contact us at hello@teameats.app)
- Ask questions at hello@teameats.app
Where Your Data Lives
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure (which uses AWS) in the EU region. It’s encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Only authorized Teameats systems can read it.
